The first year is about building trust and getting into a rhythm. After that, the partnership continues to compound: your EA knows your business, your preferences, and your calendar better than anyone. We want your EA to look forward to growing with you for years.

How Your EA is Paid

Your EA is a full-time employee of Donna. We pay their salary, benefits, and government contributions in the Philippines, and we review their compensation every year. Raises vary from one EA to the next based on performance and tenure. We run a detailed evaluation process for raises and they’re not something you need to manage.

Your Annual Adjustment

About once a year for the first few years, your monthly price increases. For most clients it's roughly $100 per month, per EA. The entire amount goes towards your EA's compensation, and if their raise is larger, Donna covers the difference.

The amount of your price adjustment isn't tied to your EA's performance, your feedback, or how much you use them. Tell us candidly how your EA is doing. Your feedback shapes their coaching and their career at Donna, and it has no effect on what you pay.

The adjustment is also the most effective thing we do to keep your EA with you. Replacing an EA who knows your business costs far more than the adjustment in time and lost context.

We'll let you know well ahead of time. The specifics on timing and notice are in your agreement.

Bonuses and Gifts

Clients often want to recognize their EA for a big project, a holiday, or a work anniversary. We encourage it. There's one rule: everything goes through Donna.

Your EA is an employee in the Philippines, so bonuses and cash gifts are taxable compensation there and have to run through payroll. Sending money directly, through any channel, creates tax and compliance problems for your EA and for us.

How it works:

For physical gifts, let your Donna contact know first. We'll help you get it to them.
