Our Matching Philosophy

All Donna EAs have a baseline skillset that covers email management, calendar management, travel booking, and common business tools. Skills are table stakes and everyone on our team can handle the technical work.

What makes a partnership successful is alignment on values, personality, and work style. That's what we optimize for in matching.

The Onboarding Call

This is why the onboarding call is 90 minutes rather than a quick intake form. We need to understand you: how you work, what you value, how you communicate, what drives you, and what kind of partnership you're looking for.

Donna’s matching team reviews this call carefully and uses it as the foundation for curating your match.

Curated Matching

We don't use algorithms or automated matching. A real person on our matching team considers what we learned about you and pairs you with the EA they believe will be the best fit.

This takes time and care, which is why we don't rush the process. It's also why our match success rate is high.

The Kickoff Meeting

Once we've identified your match, we send you your EA's resume and schedule the kickoff call. This is the start of your working relationship.

While some clients treat this as an interview, we've already done that work. We've matched you because we believe this partnership will be successful. The kickoff is really about beginning to work together.

If the Match Doesn't Work

We have a high success rate with matching, but in the rare case where a match doesn't work out in the first week, we offer free rematching. We'll also credit you for time during that first week - essentially a free redo.

This is uncommon, but we want you to feel confident that we'll get the match right.
